King Of Tokyo Promo

 If you buy one of the new King of Tokyo Dark games between now and Christmas, we will have a set of promo cards and pieces for you to select from. If you buy one before the promos arrive, we will take your name and contact info and will get ahold of you when they arrive.

Ikoria Love Your Store Promotion

WOTC has informed us, and you probably, of the upcoming Love Your Store promotion. To get the Reliquary Tower card you buy Magic, how much we are not sure yet but it won't be a large amount. To get the Mechagodzilla Battle Fortress Card, you buy an in-stock booster box of any set. If you buy one now, we will make a note and give you the card when it arrives. You also get the appropriate BIBTB card for the box you purchase.

In addition, WOTC has said we can count new purchases of 6 Ikoria Pre-release kits toward qualifying for a BIBTB card and the Mechagodzilla card. So buy 6 pre-release kits and get the cards. In addition, if you want to spread out the purchase of the pre-release kits, just ask us and we will keep track of your purchases and award you your cards when you hit the 6 box total. Sorry but purchases made before May 23 do not count towards your totals. 

WOTC Promo Change

WOTC just made a major change to their promotional program, rather the way in which we handle promotional items. Prior to this, certain promotional items such as the Buy a Box Card and Game Day playmats, had to be destroyed after a certain amount of time if they were not used for the promotion for which they were designed. Now, after the promotional period has ended, stores can use them to enhance play in whatever manner deemed suitable. Stores, of course, still cannot sell promo items, they must be given to players.

More on Selling Promo Items

Other promotional items are iffy. I have not seen any directives from Steve Jackson Games or Atlas Games regarding promos from them and stores were selling the promos from TableTop Day before the event even ended but the stores had paid for those promos and had not entered into any agreement with TableTop or Geek & Sundry.

In general, if the promos are part of an organized program and promoted by the supplier for the purpose of driving customers into the store, there are probably restrictions on selling them, otherwise likely not.
