Appraisal

 Every once in awhile we get someone wanting us to look at a collection of something and tell us how much it is worth. If we are interested it in buying it from you, we will gladly do so.  However, in general the only things we are currently interested in purchasing are RPGs (role playing games) , boardgames, comics, and Magic cards and not bulk collections of the last two.  For Pokemon cards, we will only offer store credit.

If you want us to look over your collection and tell you what it is worth, we charge $50 per hour to do so.  Going through a collection and determining its value is time consuming and the time we spend doing so is worth something.

We will gladly look at a few cards or comics and tell you what, in our opinion, they are worth for no charge but collections are a completely different matter.

Proxies

 Just a reminder that proxies are not allowed in tournaments or any sanctioned events at the store.  They are forbidden by WOTC in any sanctioned Magic event and the same goes for Pokemon and Konami. You can play them in your own casual play but if we find you using them in tournaments, we will ask you to remove them from your deck.

Trades

 If you bring in a large quantity of cards, games, comics, etc to trade/sell, it will take us a while to get through them so if we are busy, we will ask you either to leave them here for us to go through or to bring them back later.  It is also a good idea for you to call us ahead of time to see if we will make you an offer on the items and save you a trip.  Since we are currently reworking our comic room, we are not looking to to buy any back issues until July.  Boardgames we are currently overstocked on as well. We are always interested in role playing games, Magic and Pokemon cards. However, it is best to bring in small numbers of Magic and Pokemon, say 5 to 10 cards so we can get through them quickly and may you an offer.

Magic the Gathering Restocks

  We are currently sold out of Secrets of Strixhaven except for a couple of commander decks.  However, we did get in a restock of Modern Horizons 3 and Edge of Eternities boosters and Lorwyn Eclipsed commander decks so stop by and take a look

Lorwyn Eclipsed

 Looks as if we have a small order of Lorywn eclisped arriving tomorrow or Monday.  After that, according to WotC, we cannot expect a restock until the fourth quarter of 2026.  Why?  Because the company has a lot of product in the printing pipeline already:  reprints of Play boosters for Final Fantasy, Spider Man, Lord of the Rings, as well as the products releasing this year.

Bouquet Drawing

Avatar Pre-release

 Has a good turnout for  the first Avatar pre-release tonight with 16 players. We are out of red and green decks for the other two tournaments, save for those pre-ordered by players that pre-registered. If you come to tomorrow's event, you will get to select from white, blue or black.

Note that we are not "selling" any kits to take home until after 1 p.m. on Sunday so we can make sure all of our tournament players have one.

Magic Final Fantasy

 Well we finally got in a restock today of the Magic Final Fantasy play boosters.  Only took about 3 months.  Now to see if the demand is still here or if everyone has moved on from the set to anticipating the new Avatar set.

So far, we have received reprints of Takir Dragonstorm and Final Fantasy.  Now all we need is for a reprint of Edge of Eternities to show up for the holiday selling season.

Graded Magic Cards

 We just received about 10 CGC graded Magic cards. All of them are in our display case or you can see them listed in our ebay store.  Grading cards is not something we normally do but these Revised dual lands and a couple of Legacy artifacts have been in the display case for quite awhile so decided to get them graded and list them in our eBay store.

Pauper

 Since pauper locally has grown in popularity, we will add a session of Magic pauper play to Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.  Cost is $6.  We did try running Pauper on Monday nights earlier this year but after the first couple of weeks, players stopped showing.  Hoping that those really wanting to play Pauper will cover here at 1 p.m. and then head over to G&G Games for their evening Pauper session for a day's worth of Pauper play

Universes Beyond Spider Man

 Magic Spider Man released today and, according to one of our suppliers, WotC printed 3 times as much of this set as the company did Tarkir Dragonstorm. While I do not expect to see Final Fantasy numbers, because that was just nuts, we do expect to sell out of Collector Boosters within a couple of weeks and Play Boosters within a month.  Gift Bundles are almost pre-sold out, to the point we are not preselling any more as we want to make sure our allocation covers our orders.  Surprisingly, at least to us, we did not presell a single regular bundle but expect those to sell out within a week. 

Pre-registration

 Today is 

Just a reminder that today is the last day to prepay for the Spider Man pre-release or any of the Spider Man product and save money.  Pre-release entry goes to $55 tomorrow.

Young Guns Magic

 If you are a Magic Player between the ages of 10 and 16 (younger ones are welcome as long as they understand the rules), come join us for Young Guns magic on Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5.  All Participants receive a free Magic booster as well as promo cards for each set of games they play.

Final Fantasy Restock

 Given how hard Final Fantasy products have been to restock, we were happy to get in a restock of the Final Fantasy 2-Player Starter Set as well as the Final Fantasy Standard Commander Decks. Given the popularity of the commander decks, we do not expect to have them past the weekend.

Edge of Eternities Errata

  Diplomatic Relations has the following errata

We are aware of an issue in which the card Diplomatic Relations from Edge of Eternities was printed with missing rules text that affects its functionality. The printed version reads:

Target creature gets +1/+0 and gains vigilance until end of turn. It deals damage equal to its power to target creature an opponent controls.

The corrected rules text reads:

Target creature you control gets +1/+0 and gains vigilance until end of turn. It deals damage equal to its power to target creature an opponent controls.

This is an official update to rules text that should be reflected in play. Corrected text will appear on MTG Arena, Gatherer, and Magic Online.

Final Fantasy

 We expect a small restock of Final Fantasy boosters to arrive later this week, both play and collector as well as 1, that is one, bundle.  Based on the amount of interest, we do not expect these to last the weekend.

Final Fantasy

 The Universes Beyond Final Fantasy has been quite a sugar rush for stores.  Even pricing collector boosters at $50 each did not slow down the interest and the Gift Bundles moved steadily at $149.99 as we sold through 80% of our order in one day. 

We would love to get more of the shiny collectors cards for the set but, since there are serialized cards in the Collector packs, Wotc will not reprint them. We do expect more Play boosters and regular commander decks in July but no more Collector.

Will Spider Man and Avatar be as big?  I am not sure. I doubt it but I and the rest of the staff, to be honest, did not expect Final Fantasy to sell as well as it did.

Final Fantasy

 We are currently out of Final Fantasy sealed product. We expect our Gift Bundles to arrive this week and hopefully some Play boosters as well. We do not expect any more collector boosters or commander decks though.

Chobobo Racing

 We will host Final Fantasy Chobobo Racing every Saturday at 1 p.m.  That means a booster draft. You get 3 points for playing in the draft and 1 point for each round you win.  Get 10 points and get a chobobo print. Reach 20 points and you earn a Chobobo VR pin.

Final Fantasy Pre-release

 We had 19 people in for our first Final Fantasy pre-release, the largest number we have had in quite some time.  We still have space in tonight's and tomorrow's events but will not be selling any pre-release kits until after 1 p.m on Sunday, in order to make sure we have space in both of our remaining events. After 1 p.m. tomorrow, we will put out any remaining kits on sale.
