Attack of the Vine

 Attack of the Vine goes on sale today. We have booster boxes and Troves and booster packs and will take payment on them for release on 7/24, unless we hear otherwise.. We will run a pre-release at 5:30 p.m. on the 24.  Entry fee is $45 but you may save $5 by pre-paying by July 21.

Update:  We heard otherwise so booster boxes and Troves are now on sale.

Disney Lorcana Wilds Unknown

Disney Lorcana Pre-release kits ech contain 6 booster packs of Wilds Unknown, which we will use in the pre-release for the set.  also in the box are 1 of 6 promotional cards exclusive to the kit, 4 damage dice, 1 post card, 1 rules sheet for Pack Rush and the storage box.  Entry into the Wednesday Night pre-release is $40 and youmay "buy" additional at that price if you particpate in the pre-release, the kits will go on sale after that for $44.99
 

Disney Lorcana Wilds Unknown Pre-release

 for the first time Disney Lorcana is offering a true pre-release tournament, rather than us having a sealed deck tournament.  We are getting real pre-release kits containing  6 booster packs, 1 of 6 promo cards, 1 cardboard deck box, 4 dice, 1 set-specific item, and 1 rules sheet.  Our event will run the evening of May 13 adn will cost $40 per person. given the popularity of the past few sets of Disney Lorcana, we hope to see a good turnout.

New comics and this week's events.  Note that the Disney Lorcana Infinity Weekend does run all weekend.  Just bring in a partner, play a 3 game match and both players receive the Whole New World Card.  We will set a specific time for people to come in if they wish after talking with players at Wednesday's league session.

I am seeing sealed booster boxes of Disney Lorcana’s Into the Inklands selling for as low as $30 at some bargain outlets. From what I have heard, Ravensburger heard complaints about the scarcity of First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn booster boxes and decided to give players (and stores) what they had asked for, a print run of Into the Inklands sufficiently large enough that no orders would need allocations.  Stores apparently did not believe this and played the allocation game, putting in large ordered with the expectation allocations would occur and the store would receive some number close to the quantity wanted. Instead, stores got just what they ordered and either had to pay on receipt or, if they have good credit, on 30 day terms. Given the amount of Into the Inklands hitting the market, supply and demand says the industry will see drastic price cuts to move the product, below cost in many cases, merely to recover some of the money invested in the set.

National Pi(E) Day

Archazia's Island

 Disney Lorcana Archazia's Island goes on sale tomorrow. We have booster boxes and packs, playmats and gift boxes and troves. No decks as we are saving them for next week's sealed tournament

Disney Lorcana Pack Rush

 As part of our 35th Anniversary Celebration, we will hold a free Disney Lorcana Pack Rush on Feb 12 starting at 5 p.m.  the first 16 players will receive 6 packs of Lorcana. Round one they will open two packs and play their opponent with the contents, then repeat the process with the other 4 packs.  Players will receive 1 prize pack for each round they win. Lorcana Release Tournament

 We will host a release tournament for the new Disney Lorcana set Azurite Seas at 5 p.m .on Nov. 20th.  Entry fee is $35. The tournament is sealed deck with each player receiving a deck and a booster of Azurite Seas from which to construct their deck.

 We received our shipment of Disney Lorcana Azurite Seas today and have it out on the shelf. Limited quantities of Troves, Gift Sets and Playmats. We will run a release tournament for the set on the 20th at 5 p.m.. Entry fee is $35

Disney Lorcana and Melee

 The store hosted a Disney Lorcana Shimmering Skies Store Championship earlier this month and the turnout provided yet more evidence that the once hot game is cooling off dramatically. Whereas for our first Store Championship we had people driving 2 to 3 hours to get here and easily an hour for our second one, this event struggled to fill the required 8 seats. All the players were locals that played in our regular weekly league which was certainly good but not even all of them showed up to play, meaning we had to readjust the Melee tournament software to account for the fewer numbers than expected. We managed to do it but we have found that Melee’s tournament software does not make anything easy.

Lorcana Store Championship

 
We will host the Lorcana Store Championship for Shimmering Skies this Saturday at 1 p.m. Winner will receive a Shimmering skies championship playmat and alternate art card, 2nd place with receive the second place playmat and card, 3rd through 8th will receive the card, Players will play 4 rounds, then cut to top 4 or 8 depending on the number of players

 The fourth Chapter for Disney Lorcana arrives on Friday.  We will have booster boxes for $179.99, booster packs for $7.99, starter decks for $24.99 and Illumineer's Troves and Quests for $89.99 each.

Disney Lorcana

 Ravensburger announced a 2 week embargo on online sales of Disney Lorcana starting with Ursula's Return. The game arrives in stores on May 17th with no sales online until May 31. Stores may list the game online and take pre-orders and prepayment and can let customers pick up the game after paying for it on the website but cannot ship mail orders until the 31st. 

Lorcana League Play

 We will continue the stopgape league through the end of Februrary, then start the season 3 league on the first Wednesday in March.

Lorcana Chapter 3

 We expect to receive Lorcana Chapter 3 Into the Inklands this Friday, Feb. 23.  Unless someone cancels their pre-orders, we will have boosters and decks for the shelf but no Troves or Gift sets. It will be interesting to see how much demand there is for this set as online prices have dropped significantly for booster boxes.
