Has a good turnout for the first Avatar pre-release tonight with 16 players. We are out of red and green decks for the other two tournaments, save for those pre-ordered by players that pre-registered. If you come to tomorrow's event, you will get to select from white, blue or black.
Note that we are not "selling" any kits to take home until after 1 p.m. on Sunday so we can make sure all of our tournament players have one.

We will only run 1 pre-release event for Modern Horizons 3 on Friday night, June 7 at 5:30. Entry fee is $60. We will provide door prizes and pizza.
The pre-release for Pokemon Twilight Masquerade is this weekend. Purchase a pre-release kit for $35 and get 3 additional booster packs free.
We are lining up some pretty nice prizes for the drawings at this weekend's pre-releases: limited edition Magic poster, foil promo packs and an oversized Resplendent Angel card
Here is a breakdown of where to find what cards in Murders at Karlov Manor. Melik, Refoged Researcher; Tomik, Wielder of Law; and Voja, Jaws of the Conclave will only be found in pre-release kits and cannot be used during pre-release events, although they are legal in other tournaments than the pre-release
We had successful Friday night and Sunday afternoon pre-releases but not on Saturday. People seem to like the set but not enough to come out on Saturday for the event. As a result, we gave away extra booster packs at the conclusion of Sunday's two headed giant to thank the 4 teams that showed up for the the 2 headed giant and to encourage them to come back for the next event.
We will not host a Pokemon Obsidian Flames pre-release. Apparently since no one has been coming in to play Pokemon in the store, we had no players to report and Pokemon will only tolerate that for so long. It was not just us. I read of several stores not getting offered Obsidian Flames pre-releases If you want us to be able to host pre-releases, again so that you can get the cards and extra boosters early, you need to come in and play here or at least sho up and give us your Pokemon ID number so we can register you and show Pokmeon that we do have players here.
The latest controversy to hit Magic play is the annoucement by WotC that is will include an additional Commander card in pre-release kits for March of the Machines. No cards will be removed from the kits. This will be an additional unusable card included. According to Wotc:
"The intention is not to only cater to Commander players, but rather include something that may make them (and players of other eternal formats) more interested in participating in Prerelease. "
The concern of course is that players have always been told that all cards in their pre-release kits are usable in the tournament and this Commander specific card cannot be.
With the change in pre-releases with the upcoming Brothers' War set, i.e. allowing all Brothers' War products to be sold by WPN stores at the start of pre-release week, including singles, we will se most of the sales from Launch Day shifing to Pre-release day.
I also expect, given that WOTC is really pushing drafts on pre-release weekend, that WOTC will slowly phase out pre-release kits in favor of booster drafts. Pre-release kits are more expensive to assemble than booster drafts and I could see WOTC dropping them as a cost savings measure. After all booster drafts and sealed deck tournaments were commone at pre-release for years before the arrival of the pre-release kit.
We still have Crimson Vow pre-release kits available. Due to the product not officialy going on Sale until Frdiay, we are selling them as tournament entries with one additional booster pack included for $30. When they go on sale Friday, you will get stamps for them but not the extra booster pack.
Also just a reminder, WOTC ended the MIdweek Magic program last week so we will not be able to provide any more Arena codes for your online play.
The Midnight Hunt pre-release is in the books but we sill have 7 booster boxes of Set Boosters and about 10 Pre-release kits available. Set booster boxes are $149.99 whil the pre-release kits get classified as tournaments this week and are $30
Our first pre-release for the Magic Midnight Hunt set starts at 5 p.m. today. Entry is $30 and gets you one pre-release kit and entry into the tournament. You may of course, particpate in the pre-release at home which gets you one pre-reelase kit and one set booster.
We will host the Midnight Hunt pre-releease Sept. 17, 18 and 19. We will have a 5:30 pre-release event on Friday the 17th, a 12:30 pre-release on Saturday the 18th and a 2 headed Giant at 12:30 on Sunday the 19. $25 for any one of them or $20 each for 4 or more. Pre-ament is due by Sept 12th.
Assuming Konami ships us the materials we will host the Dawn of Majesty Premier Event the Weekend of August 7th. $20 gets you 5 boosters of the new set, a promo card, and entry into the drawing for the mousepad.
Adventures in the Forgotten Realms booster box prices are now $129.99 for draft boosters, $149.99 for Set Boosters and $299.99 for Collector Booster boxes. Pre-release kits are $30 each or $25 apiece for 4 or more. Pre-release events this weekend are at 5 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday with a 2-headed Giant tournament on Sunday.
Sunday is the last day to pre-register for the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms pre-release. Although we are only running three pre-release events, you may pre-order as many kits as you wish. Cost of the kits is $25 each if paid for by Sunday or $20 each for 4 or more. After Sunday, they increase to $30
