Proxies

 Just a reminder that proxies are not allowed in tournaments or any sanctioned events at the store.  They are forbidden by WOTC in any sanctioned Magic event and the same goes for Pokemon and Konami. You can play them in your own casual play but if we find you using them in tournaments, we will ask you to remove them from your deck.

Gensys

 We will run a Yu Gi Oh Tournament on march 28 using the new Gensys system of building a deck.Somewhat similar to Warhammer 40,000, Yu gi Oh cards are now assigned points and players build a deck using the assigned number of points for the tournament.  Many cards cost zero point so you can put up to three in the deck at no cost, while more powerful cards cost 20 or 30 points limiting the number in the deck.

Bouquet Drawing

Watch this video on the Quick Magic Gardens FB page for details on how to win the Pikachu bouquet and gift basket on display in the store.  Drawing will take place at 7 p.m. on Jan 23 .

Alliance Impact Premiere

 Alliance Impact Premiere event this weekend.  $25 gets you packs and entry into the 1 p.m tournament on Saturday.

Holiday Can Tournament

 Since we still have plenty of OTS Yu GI Oh packs, we will host one more Yu Gi Oh Can tournament on January 11 at 1 p.m. Your entry fee is 5 usable food items. Each round, the winner will collect a can from the loser. After 3 rounds, all players may turn in their cans for 2 OTS packs.

Yu Gi Oh Premier Events

 The store did not get offered a premiere event for The Infinite Rebellion because we lost OTS Standing. Stores have to run at least 1 tournament of 4 players a month to retain standing and we have only had one tournament fire this year.

Yu Gi Oh Rarity 2 Collection

 The Yu Gi Oh Rarity 2 Collection arrives and goes on sale tomorrow. $9.99 a pack with the Rarity 2 tournament this Sunday at 1 p.m. $5 entry fee with 2 OTS packs per round won and a playmat to the winner.

Yu Gi Oh Tournaments

 We currently run 1 Yu Gi Oh tournament a month, the last Sunday of the month at 1 p.m.  We would gladly run it at another time, as long as it does not conflict with our other events, if it would draw attendance. If you are a local Yu gi Oh Player, please let us know when you would like to see tournaments.

Legacy of Destruction

 We will host the Legacy of Destruction premiere Yu Gi Oh event this Saturday starting at 10 a.m. We would like to host tournaments but no one has shown up for the last three. If you want us to host tournaments, you need to let us know when and make sure they do not conflict with other events.

Murders at Karlov Manor

 all of our instock Murders at Karlov Manor go on sale tomorrow. However, we will not be taking any trades on cards for the set until the 23  as we figure it takes about 2 weeks for card prices to settle. A YuGi Oh ! card from Phantom Nightmare that was $80 on Wednesday has dropped to $70 a day later. We do not want to take cards only to find they have dropped in value by 10 to 20% within a few days.

Quarter Century Secret Rare

We opened a box of Yu Gi Oh Phantom Nightmare booster packs today and pulled this Quarter Century Secret Rare card, whcih is currently selling online for between $325 and $350. A change I have noticed in these packs is the abscence of rare cards. There are Secret Rares, Ultimate Rares but the old style Rare cards, which just had the name of the card in foil, have vanished.

Yu Gi Oh Holiday Tournament

 Join us for our annual Yu Gi Oh Holiday Can Tournament on December 3 and again on December 10th at 12:30  Bring in 5 cans of food (no tomato paste or sauce) You will receive a star card with 5 stars on it. Winner of each round played takes both stars and may turn in all of their stars at after 3 rounds for 2 booster packs per star. If you bring in highly desirable items such as canned fish, dried pasta, peanut butter or canned beans (not green beans), you will receive an extra booster pack when you give them to us. All items must have an expiration date no later than April of 2024. You must play at least 1 round before you can turn in stars. You may drop off additional food items but may not receive more than 5 stars to use in the tournament. We will have canned items here and, if you forget your cans, you may get five of them for a $5 donation.

Yu Gi Oh Holiday Tournament

 The store will host its annual Yu Gi Oh Holiday Can tournament on Dec. 3 at 12: 30. Bring in 5 cans of food or $5 and we will give you 5 cans of food. Do not be lame and bring in cans of tomato sauce or tomato paste.  Beans, dried pasta canned vegetables, etc are what food pantries are looking for. We will host a 3 round tournament. You must play at least 1 round before dropping. Each round you win, collect one can from your opponent. AT the end of the tournament, turn in your cans and you will receive 1 Yu Gi Oh booster pack for each can you give us.

Yu Gi Oh Rarity Tournament

 Join us for a Yu Gi Oh tournament celebrating the release of the new Yu Gi Oh Rarity set at 12;30 on 11/5.  $5 entry fee, advanced format. Get 2 OTS packs per round won and a shiny new playmat if you win. One additional playmat will be given out at random.

 We got in 4 booster boxes of the 25th Anniversary Rarity collection in and will be selling them as sealed boxes for $119.99. Due to our being a OTS, they will go on sale on November 1.

Yu Gi Oh Lost Art

 Dark Magician Girl is one of the most, if not the most, popular cards in Yu Gi Oh, so I expect strong demand for the new Magician's Salvation Lost Art Card, featuring her.  You get one with each $30 spent on sealed Yu Gi Oh product but we only have a limited quantitiy.

Memorial Day

 We will be open regular hours Memorial Day. If you attend the Carbondale Memorial Day Celebration at Woodlawn Cemetary, bring in your program afterward for a free bottle of water or can of soda. Also with your program, purchase $25 of Magic, Yu Gi Oh or Pokemon and get a promo card for the game. Purchase $50 of RPG materials and get a free set of dice.
