Games Workshop Holiday Bundles

  We just put our inital order in for the Games Workshop holiday bundles. We have 2 each of  the 40K boxes and 1 of each of the Age of Sigmar coming mid-December. We have to order these by the bundle, so in sets of 4 or 5, not indivdually. They run $210.00 each and our cut of for incraseing orders is Noon December 1 and we will not be able to increase orders after then. If you want one, let us know as soon as possible. If we get multiple orders for mulltiple boxes we will increase our order but if we only get orders for one of the boxes, we will hold our order to 2 for 40K and 1 for Age of Sigmar.

Magic Store Championships

 The store championships will take place this Saturday at 12:30. Cost is $15 and players will draft 3 boosters of Crimson vow. WOTC has provided several promo cards that will go to particpants.

Yu Gi Oh Holdiay Tournament

 The store will particpate in the annual Yu Gi Oh Holiday tournament  on Dec. 5. Entry fee is 5 cans of food. Each round a lplayer antes one can of food with the winner collecting both cans. At the end of the tournament, players may redeem their remaining cans for a pack of Yu Gi Oh for each can of food.

Marvel RPG

 Marvel has announced the Marvel Multiverse RPG for release in 2022 . Not suprisingly, there will be three differnt covers. I am just suprised there are  not 7 or more and that one is a 1:25 variant copy.

By my count this is at least the third Marvel RPG that has released.  TSR did one back in the 1980s. Wizard Publications put one out about 10 years ago and  Margaret Weiss Productions released one about 5 or so years ago. There may have been one or two others  but if there are, I do not remember them.

The MCU and super heroes in general, have always been hard to replicate in RPG form On one hand, you have characters with power off the charts like Superman and Thanos and on the other hand you have "street level" heroes like Elektra and Robin. How do you make a balanced system that allows players to create both types of characters?  I still think Champions was one of the best RPG systems for accomplihing this and even it would not easly let you make a Hulk-type character.

Horrified: American Edition

 A new version of Horified with American monsters will release later this year. Some of the monsters included are Mothman, Bigfoot, the Ozark Howler and the Banshee of the Badlands. That last one the designers had to dig for as the only reference I was able to find regarding it were a couple of posts on assited websites, with the original reference dating back to about 1907. Anyhow, if you like Horrified, keep an eye out for this American version

Crimson Vow Pre-release Kit

 We still have Crimson Vow pre-release kits available. Due to the product not officialy going on Sale until Frdiay, we are selling them as tournament entries with one additional booster pack included for $30. When they go on sale Friday, you will get stamps for them but not the extra booster pack.

Also just a reminder, WOTC ended the MIdweek Magic program last week so we will not be able to provide any more Arena codes for your online play.

Crimson Vow 2 Headed Giant

 Extremely light turnout for today's Two headed Giant tournament. Only 2 teams played. Appread we may see burnout on Crimson Vow coming comparatvile quickly after Midnight Hunt.. We will not have a light allocation of the DOuble Feature set in January, only about 2 cases of boosters.

Commander Collection Black

 We are taking pre-orders for Commander Collection Black. We are getting 18 of these at the end of January and are taking holds on them. We do not know what the price will be on them yet so will not take any payment until it gets closer to the date. However, if you want one (or more) of the ones we will be getting, stop by the store and we will put your name on the list.

Break In Thief Caught

 It looks as if the thief who broke into three stores in the St. Louis area and other stores through the Midwest has been caught down in Texas trying to resell the cards he stole.. Stole a couple of hundred thousand worth of Magic singsle and several thousand dollars worth of Pokemon as well
