Talisman 4th Edition

Looks as if Pegasus Spiele will rerelease the base game and all of the expansions for the 4th edition of Talisman, just no idea as to when. This means that USAopoly has the rights to come out with new versions of Talisman, like the upcoming Batman version, while Pegasus Spiele releases the original game:

New Talisman Variants

USAopoly has officially announced one variant they will produce using the Talisman game engine the company licensed from Games Workshop:  Kingdom Hearts. Unofficially, at Toy Fair, the company was discussing a Batman themed version of the game as well. Not familiar enough with the Kingdom Hearts games to reflect on how it would play, but I would bet in the Batman version, players start out as a member of the Batman family and build up your strength before taking on one of the major Batman villains at the end of the game.

Talisman LIcense Splitting

It looks as if Games Workshop is splitting the licensing of its popular Talisman game. The company announced last week that USAopoly would get the rights to produced versions of the classic Talisman game while WizKids announced yesterday that it had secured the rights to the Relic boardgame, alos based on the Talisman game engine but set in the Warhammer 40K universe.

Talisman Returning
