Magic Store Championships

 Due to request from several Magic players, we have moved the date of the Murders at Karlov Manor Store Championships from Saturday at 1 p.m. We have moved the Fallout event to Sunday Commander at 3 p.m.

Lotus Petal

 We still have some Lotus Petal cards left so play in Friday night's Standard tourmament and you will get one, at least while quantities last.

Streets of New Capenna

 The Streets of New Capenna Pre-release takes place this weekend. We will have one pre-release on Friday at 5:30, replacing our regular Friday Night Magic Game, then we will have one pre-release at 1 p.m. on Saturday and a 2-headed Giant Tournament at 12:30 on Sunday. Currently we have spaces in all three open along with a few draft booster and Set booster boxes available.

Midweek Magic

 Just a reminder that Friday Night Magic Arena no long exists. Instead there is Midweek Magic. Just send  us a screenshot of your game and we will send you the promo code.

Friday Night Magic

 We will start seated Friday night Magic tomorrow night at 5 p.m. Entry fee is $5, format is Standard. If you are not vaccinated and plan to come, please wear a mask.

Midweek Magic

 Just a reminder that WOTC has changed the FNM Arena program to Midweek Magic. Play a game of Magic in Arena on Tuesday or Wednesday, send us the screeenshot and we will send you a code good for some digital items.

FNM Arena

 WOTC announced yesterday that they are ending the FNM Arena program this week. Well, modifying it. Starting next week, it will be called Midweek Magic. You play between Tuesday and Thursday and send us a screenshot between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Thursday to get your code

Major changes are coming to FNM at Home! Going forward, the program will be called Midweek Magic and run from Tuesday to Thursday. There will be no event the week of July 5. Then, starting on July 13, the first Midweek Magic will run from Tuesday 8am PST to Thursday 8am PST. Beyond the name and date change, there will be no other programmatic changes.

Magic Play Modification

 WOTC has recommended but not required, the following play modifications during a game of Magic. We have not decided if we will implement them yet when we return to in store OP

Stores also may, if they so wish, modify the rules of Magic play to minimize player contact with other plyers. Of course, said modifications must comply with local laws. WOTC provided examples of such play modifications as:

Players may only shuffle or cut their own decks

Cards must remain on the owner’s side of the table when control is changed

Cards attached to cards owned by other players should not physically touch

Mechanics that require an opponent to search a player’s library, hand, or graveyard are performed by the owner displaying that zone to the active player without cards changing hands

Essentially, it appears that it that stores may implement any change in the rules of play that would prevent one player from touching another’s cards .

Friday Night Magic

 We will be starting instore Friday night Magic on July 9th at 5:30 p.m.  Standard Format. $5 entry fee. Proof of vaccination required for a seat at the table.

 We plan to start in store FNM play on July 9. Since we will have people sitting directly across from one another, we will require all players to be vaccinated. WOTC has also recommended these changes to in game card handling

• Players may only shuffle or cut their own decks.
• Cards must remain on the owner’s side of the table when control is changed.
• Cards attached to cards owned by other players should not physically touch.
• Mechanics that require an opponent to search a player’s library, hand, or graveyard are performed by the owner displaying that zone to the active player without cards changing hands.

We are wanting input on what format you would like to see for FNM. We are leaning toward Standard but are open to other formats if most people want to play them.

Friday Night Arena

WOTC has no plans to start running in store organized play until the end of September at the earliest, with the release of Zendikar Rising. However, we are still participating in the Friday Nigh Magic Arena events. Each week, send us a screen shot from your FNM Arena game and we will send you a code good for some form of digital add on.

Arena Codes

We have received codes for unique backs for your Arena cards for the next three FNMs. Just play in WOTC's scheduled FNM event, email us or message us on Facebook a screenshot from your game and we will send you the code.

Online FNM

WOTC has announced the company will continue its online Friday Night Magic sessions in Arena. When ever you play a game, email or message us via Facebook a screenshot and we will send you a code for an unique back for your Arena deck.
